Diverse Systems Expanding Paslin's Technology and Abilities

At Paslin, we utilize our engineering expertise to provide complex manufacturing solutions. This process begins with our Proposals and Estimating team, transforming the customer concept into a cost-effective, quality system. By keeping the process internal, we are able to provide our customers with a seamless integration process.
AUTOMATION POWERED BY INNOVATION

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE CATALYTIC CONVERTER

The DDC 1 Box system produces a commercial vehicle catalytic convertor. This welding system incorporates stainless steel MIG welding, press to force and leak test operations. Weld cells are primarily rotary trunnion with robotic MIG welding but table-top fixtures are also used. Strategically placed leak testing of sub-assemblies and mainline assemblies are incorporated to ensure gas tight requirements. Mainline material handling robots are used to transport the part from weld, to cooling, to testing, and also inspection stations. A manual assembly of covers and sensors finishes the unit before shipment to the OEM customer.

The  Volvo/Mack Truck One-Box is a welding system that includes fixtures, leak test stations and traceability equipment for this commercial vehicle catalytic converter. Some notables about this system are, a U-shaped production line with tool change over and storage capability, advanced leak test equipment, in process gages, and traceability to a product serial No. The system includes six sub-assembly and eleven main line cells, with robot MIG welding and transfer. The system will also include the latest Siemens controls architecture and equipment.

Automated Warehouse Inbound and Outbound Systems

KEY COMPONENTS
Automated warehousing systems increasing capacity by 30% without adding additional square footage. This is achieved by applying autonomous robotics, the use of intelligent A.I. software and data analytics. Paslin is responsible for manufacturing Automated Outbound Systems that palletize products and shrink wrap pallets for distribution. Paslin also produces floor level autonomous robotic “inbound” automated stations. These conveyor systems take incoming product at the distribution center and move material to the Automatic Inbound Systems for disbursement into the storage structure.
